The real estate industry is seeing a massive shift toward alternative ownership structures. According to the CoBuy 2026 National Report, 30% of all home sales in the United States now involve co-buyers. Unfortunately, many of these homeowners are turned away by real estate professionals who simply do not know how to help them.
‘How to Sell Houses When Co-Owners Disagree,’ with Attorney Elijah Underwood, will outline the straightforward process for partition lawsuits, in which one party wants to sell and the other does not. Some of the scenarios could be:

Elijah Underwood operates California’s Number 1 Partition Law Firm, with experience handling partition trials and complex partition actions, including multiple properties, multi-family, industrial, commercial, and million-dollar properties. His firm has handled around 500 partitions throughout California. He is the lecturer on partitions for the California Association of REALTORS® and is a member of the Executive Committee for Real Property for the California Lawyers Association. He is considered by many to be the foremost expert on partition law in California. Mr. Underwood is a graduate of UC Law SF and UC Santa Barbara.
